Tourette's Syndrome, Inner Healing, & Redemptive Wholeness

Reflection on 2 Corinthians 12:7b–9

We all have parts of our lives that we are not only not proud of, but would rather get rid of. It’s the stuff of our inner life that makes us feel broken inside.

There are different ways different strands of Christianity address this, from the Gospel of Wealth and Prosperity to the Gospel of Fulfillment. While those approaches to Christianity are extremely appealing, I don’t think they bring the healing and wholeness they promise. I think there’s another understanding of the Gospel that is a much better way.
