I relate deeply to the call by Christ to embody radical love. Does that come through "believing" first though? I was taking to a recovery sponsee of mine this morning about how wisdom and experience shows that we "act as if" or in other words - we act our way into "believing" - not vice versa.
That's a great question. I think, generally speaking, yes. There is a strong sense that our beliefs are the way that we articulate the most important parts of our spiritual narratives. Fww, I think it's normal for people to start with an understanding of faith as a belief system and then transition into faith as trust. That's where I come from at least. I hope that helps.
