Thanks for the video thoughts. I believe it has been incredibly harmful to many the way modern theology has correlated faith and doubt. “Doubting” Thomas is ostracized by modern theology, but not by Jesus. He loved him and stepped in to address where his doubts lay. This was not a cautionary tale, but rather another example of Jesus’ love and a testimony to what God can handle. Walk the mystery!

I agree that it has definitely been harmful to turn doubt into the bad guy. It prevents people from growing. I met one spiritual director years back who considered Doubting Thomas to be her patron saint. I thought that was awesome.
