Do you find inspiration in these newsletters but don’t want to commit to a paid membership? Consider the option to…
Today, I invite you to spend some time in silent consideration. Imagine me sitting with you and asking the following questions. Allow the time to turn into an internal conversation with me. I think this works best as a journaling exercise.
What is the value of anger? How does it help or harm you? How does it help or harm others? When you feel anger, what is your body trying to tell you?
Think back to the last time you started to feel overwhelmed by anger. How did it affect your ability to think things through? How did it affect your body? How did it affect your attention?
Do you like getting angry? Why and/or why not? If you want to help prevent or lessen your anger in the future, what spiritual disciplines might you engage in to promote inner peace? How might you integrate them into your life? If you aren’t already doing them, why not?
Peace, Bo

Support the Cause
My mission is to promote the progressive Christian voice in the spiritual/theological marketplace. I hope that by doing so I will help make the world a more loving place one newsletter at a time.
If you are not already a paying subscriber, I encourage you to consider it. It takes many (many) hours each week to create all the content for this project, and by becoming a paid subscriber you support the greater mission through me.
Will you consider becoming a financial supporter of the mission?
If so, I would greatly appreciate it.

Bo, you're basically the spiritual friend who hands me a mirror and says, “Look gently.” The kind of friend who doesn’t try to fix my anger, but invites me to sit with it until it tells the truth.
What I’ve noticed is that anger, when left unexamined, becomes a weapon I swing at the wrong targets. But when I approach it like a teacher, it burns clean and points to what needs care.
Thanks for holding space with questions instead of answers. That’s rare. And powerful.
