Seeking Deeper Meaning in Life?
If you want to work through a process of intentional spiritual growth so you can become who you were truly meant to be, check out my 49-Day Spiritual Growth Journal.
Today, I invite you to spend some time in silent consideration. Imagine me sitting with you and asking the following questions. Allow the time to turn into an internal conversation with me. I think this works best as a journaling exercise.
What does it mean for you to consider someone an “enemy”? What qualities do they have? Where is that line that gets crossed that makes someone an enemy?
When you have interacted with those who are your “enemies” in the past, how has that gone? Have you ever done anything or had a conversation with an “enemy” through which you actually found yourself feeling closer to them? What do you think was happening there?
When those who consider you an “enemy” look upon you, what do you think they see? Why do they consider you an enemy? What can you learn about yourself when you take that perspective?

Support the Cause
My mission is to promote the progressive Christian voice in the spiritual/theological marketplace. I hope that by doing so I will help make the world a more loving place one newsletter at a time.
If you are not already a paying subscriber, I encourage you to consider it. It takes many (many) hours each week to create all the content for this project, and by becoming a paid subscriber you support the greater mission through me.
Will you consider becoming a financial supporter of the mission?
If so, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have learned that while the emotion of love may be beyond my reach, I can still pray and mean it. That's why we need to pray for our enemies. Perhaps someday the rest will come.
