Today, I invite you to spend some time in silent consideration. Imagine me sitting with you and asking the following questions. Allow the time to turn into an internal conversation with me. I think this works best as a journalling exercise.
What is “humility”? When you think of someone who is humble, what character traits do they have that feeds their humility?
Think back through your life more than 5 years ago. Who modeled humility for you? What specific times did you see them demonstrate humility? At what times did you see them as not-so-humble?
Do you consider humility to be a character strength or a character flaw? If you consider it to be a strength, how might it be a flaw? If you consider it to be a flaw, how might it be a strength?

Support the Cause
My mission is to promote the progressive Christian voice in the spiritual/theological marketplace. I hope that by doing so I will help make the world a more loving place one newsletter at a time.
If you are not already a paying subscriber, I encourage you to consider it. It takes many (many) hours each week to create all the content for this project, and by becoming a paid subscriber you support the greater mission through me.
Will you consider becoming a financial supporter of the mission for only $6 per month? If so, I would greatly appreciate it.
