Today, I invite you to spend some time in silent consideration. Imagine me sitting with you and asking the following questions. Allow the time to turn into an internal conversation with me. I think this works best as a journalling exercise.
There’s a good kind of “proud” and a bad kind of “proud”. How would you describe the difference between the two? Likewise, there’s a good kind of “humble” and a bad kind of “humble”. How would you describe the difference between the two?
Who are the most humble (in a good way) people you know? How does that humility manifest in their lives?
When the passage says, “God opposed the proud but gives grace to the humble” what does that mean to you, especially knowing that not all pride and humility are the same?
Peace, Bo

Support the Cause
My mission is to promote the progressive Christian voice in the spiritual/theological marketplace. I hope that by doing so I will help make the world a more loving place one newsletter at a time.
If you are not already a paying subscriber, I encourage you to consider it. It takes many (many) hours each week to create all the content for this project, and by becoming a paid subscriber you support the greater mission through me.
Will you consider becoming a financial supporter of the mission for only $6 per month? If so, I would greatly appreciate it.
