Struggling to Make Sense of It All?
If you want to talk with me as a spiritual companion to help you sort through your life's spiritual confusion, feel free to sign up for a one-hour Spiritual Pathfinding Session. It’s “pay what you want,” so you can talk with me on my dime if you can’t afford to pay.
Today, I invite you to spend some time in silent consideration. Imagine me sitting with you and asking the following questions. Allow the time to turn into an internal conversation with me. I think this works best as a journaling exercise.
When you look around you, what are some ways you see the flow of society going in the wrong direction? Immersed in this Sea of Wrong, what would life be like if you were to just go with the flow and do what you’re supposed to?
In this Sea of Wrong, what does “doing what is right” look like? What does it look like in how you function daily? What about how you function socially?
Whenever you face a situation where you realize you are expected to do one thing, but you feel the right thing is different, how hard is it for you? How often do you just go with the flow? Where do you find the strength to walk your own right path against expectations?
Peace, Bo

Support the Cause
My mission is to promote the progressive Christian voice in the spiritual/theological marketplace. I hope that by doing so I will help make the world a more loving place one newsletter at a time.
If you are not already a paying subscriber, I encourage you to consider it. It takes many (many) hours each week to create all the content for this project, and by becoming a paid subscriber you support the greater mission through me.
Will you consider becoming a financial supporter of the mission?
If so, I would greatly appreciate it.
I’ve been thinking a lot about MLK’s letter from a Birmingham jail because it was recently reprinted. As happens once a year. He writes about the Christian pastors who would not stand with him, who did not want to offend their congregations. Moderation! They counseled. Go slow. The KKK did not go slow. Now we are watching undocumented folks being rounded up and treated like “less than.” LGBTQ people. Women who choose to terminate a pregnancy.
Choosing to do the right thing is easier than figuring out what the right thing to do would be. Many of us are in limbo, waiting to see the path forward to real righteousness. We don’t want more division - aren’t we peacemakers? -but it seems inevitable.
